The Brown Recluse Spider is one of the most dangerous spiders we have in the US. The following pictures may be upsetting to some, so look at your own risk. If nothing else please look at the last picture, the one of the spider itself. These spiders like dark, cool places as the weather starts warming up.

The Dangerous Brown Recluse Spider
Please be careful. Spider bites are dangerous and can have permanent and highly negative consequences. They like the darkness and tend to live in storage sheds or attics or other areas that might not be frequented by people or light.
If you have a need to be in your attic, go up there and turn on a light and leave it on for about 30 minutes before you go in to do your work.

Great post Sarge. I'm going to show my kids. That's a good pic of the Recluse. It shows the bass fiddle on his back quite well.
on-my-mind,
I understand not being able to look at the pics. My sister-in-law was bit by one a couple of years ago and has a nice dent in her leg where she was bit. You have a nice Easter as well.
LP,
Thanks, and welcome back. Hope you had an enjoyable break in the action.
Thanks... I just ate lunch, gotta go now.
Sorry cp, I didn't mean this as a blood and guts post, just a warning about a nasty little bugger. Have a Happey Easter
