As the Title suggests I am a vet, and proud of it, and proud of all those that wear the uniform of the United States of America. You name it we'll talk about it. Politics, sports and much more. However, I am also very interested in what is happening to this great country of ours, politically and socially...So SOUND OFF PRIVATE!!!

A Fair Comparison?

BUSH vs PUTIN: What a Difference - Feb. 1, 2006

Now I am not trying to stir anything up but maybe there is more here than meets the eye.

Just how does Russia, a "partner" in the war on terrorism actually look at the United States? Considering the fact that the United States was the first to come to the aide of the Russians after the fall of the USSR, one might be surprised at what they think. Even with Pres. Putin standing side by side with America after 9/11 and "promising" their support on the war on terror, the views are changing dramatically. The following is an article which appeared in the PRAVDA back around the first part of February. (thanks go out to www.watchingamerica.com)

After reading the ARTICLE, one might be of the opinion that those in Russia have forgotten their "lavished" background on human rights, freedom of speech, freedom of the press and their direct attacks on other countries in the last century. This might also explain the secretiveness of Russia building certain missiles over the last few years. What are they planning to do with them, since they are now a "free society"? It is quite possible that this is just one article, on one day, in one year and doesn't necessarily express the views of all. But I bet it is pretty close to what the "government" is thinking.

The Rest of The Story
